GDS Translation Project Pilot
Client: Saskatchewan Power Corporation (SaskPower)
GeoDecisions provided conversion services of electric diagrams and other records for SaskPower. Through the use of its G-Live translator custom-tailored to SaskPower’s sophisticated data requirements, GeoDecisions converted records from GDS, the VAX-based legacy CAD system, to a fully supported modern format AutoCAD. Our proven process efficiently migrates data and retains nearly all of the original data. A thorough quality control of converted data assures the success of the project.

GDS Migration
Client: Regional Transit Partners
GeoDecisions performed GDS conversion services for Regional Transit Partners that involved a prototype exercise to customize migration tools to handle unique elements of the existing data formats. Projects were then migrated from GDS into the AutoCAD and MicroStation environment. The project included migration of 12 types of maps, including both land and hydrographic information. The mapped area covered the entire facility at an extremely high level of detail, including roadways, telephone networks, and individual lane markings of roadways.
