GeoDecisions to Present Transportation Topics at the 2003 International HEEP Conference

September 19, 2003/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions, an information technology leader specializing in geographic information systems (GIS), will be presenting the following topics at the International Highway Engineering Exchange Program (HEEP) conference.

VTrans Automated Road Logs System (Tuesday, Sept. 30, 8:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m.)
The Vermont Transportation Agency (VTrans) utilized hardcopy route logs for many years to perform information retrieval, tracking of historical conditions, and manual “overlay” of data sources. Keeping the route logs up-to-date proved to be difficult and time-consuming. This presentation will provide information on GeoDecisions’ automated solution to keep the route logs current.

An Improved Truck Routing Process at KDOT (Tuesday, Sept. 30, 8:30 a.m.-9:15 a.m.)
This presentation will detail GeoDecisions’ current work with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) and the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) to plan, design, develop, and implement a Truck Routing Information System (TRIS). This application assists personnel with the routing of oversize and overweight trucks.

Please join GeoDecisions for these presentations at the International HEEP conference, Sept. 28-Oct. 2, in Cheyenne, Wyo., or visit GeoDecisions’ booth for more information on these applications and others.
