Iowa Department of Transportation Selects GeoDecisions
November 28, 2003/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions, a leader in providing spatial solutions to the transportation industry, is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Iowa Department of Transportation to complete the Decision Support Environment (DSE) project.
GeoDecisions and its teaming partner, Bentley®, will be developing a GeoData Library (GDL) that will house enterprise transportation data and utilize Iowa DOT’s Linear Referencing System (LRS), based on the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) 20-27. GeoDecisions will also design, develop, and implement two applications that will allow users to access the data in the GDL for viewing, reporting, decision support, and in-depth analysis.
The DSE project kicked-off the week of Oct. 20. During the same week, Bentley, with GeoDecisions as a teaming partner, initiated the Iowa DOT Geographic Information Management System (GIMS) project.
