Smith Named Project Manager for DelDOT INFORM Project
June 25, 2004/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions recently named Brian J. Smith project manager of the Information Network for Online Resources Mapping (INFORM) project with the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT).
Smith has more than seven years experience in the transportation industry, with six years on-site experience at DelDOT designing and implementing Oracle® databases and spatially-oriented applications. GeoDecisions’ projects that Smith has worked on include the Geographical Resource Intranet Portal (GRIP) for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, GeoDecisions’ IRRIS™ application for the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, the Automated Vehicle Location Application project for the Delaware State Police, and the GeoDecisions Crime Analysis and Mapping System Web Implementation project for the Camden Police Department.
As project manager, Smith will be responsible for the overall management of the INFORM project. He will also oversee other GeoDecisions projects within Delaware. Smith will be taking a larger role in the business development of intranet portals and other custom transportation solutions for GeoDecisions.
