Galten Named Project Manager

April 20, 2004/Harrisburg, Pa.: Lt. William Galten (Ret.) was recently named project manager at GeoDecisions, a leader in the information technology industry that specializes in geospatial solutions.

Galten has more than 25 years of experience specializing in the application of law enforcement technology. He was instrumental in the research, acquisition, and implementation management of wireless police mobile data computer projects, police records management systems, and computer-aided dispatch environments. Additionally, he was an adjunct instructor for a nationally known police trainer in accident reconstruction and has state and federal grant administration experience.

Based in the firm’s regional office in Philadelphia, Pa., Galten is responsible for assisting with business development, project management, training, and support of law enforcement and public safety technology projects, including GeoDecisions’ Crime Analysis and Mapping System (GeoCAMS) implementations.

Galten is a graduate of The Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officer’s Course (AOC), a comprehensive managerial development program providing instructions in law enforcement issues, diagnostic problem solving, and administrative law. Graduates of this program are among the top law enforcement leaders in the nation.
