Parsons Named GIS Lead for Columbus Office
July 2, 2004/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions, a leader in the information technology industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, recently named Robert G. Parsons geographic information systems (GIS) lead for the firm’s Columbus, Ohio, office.
Parsons will be responsible for supporting clients’ needs, specifically in the development and implementation of databases for GIS installations. He will also be assisting clients with the mitigation, installation, and configuration of the ESRI® Spatial Data Engine ™ (ArcSDE ™) on Oracle® and Microsoft® SQL Server ™.

Parsons has 12 years experience working with ESRI products and seven years experience using ArcSDE for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, working specifically with ArcSDE for the past five years. He holds a bachelor of science in geography as well as a master of science in geography from the University of Missouri.
