Woodmansee Joins NJ SMAC Planning Committee

July 13, 2004/Harrisburg, Pa.: Matt L. Woodmansee, senior analyst for GeoDecisions, recently joined the New Jersey State Mapping Advisory Committee (SMAC) Planning Committee. Woodmansee is based in the firm’s South Plainfield, N.J., office.

The SMAC Planning Committee, created by interested members of the geographic information system (GIS) community of New Jersey, consists of volunteers working together to create updated geospatial technology guidelines for New Jersey. These guidelines will be adopted and supported by SMAC.

“GeoDecisions is proud of Mr. Woodmansee’s involvement in the GIS community of New Jersey,” stated Robert M. Scaer, president of GeoDecisions. “He is working alongside others in this field to improve the New Jersey SMAC.”

The group has met to discuss the basic format of the new GIS group, create bylaws, create meeting agendas, and to choose a name – New Jersey Geospatial Forum. The Planning Committee is also establishing the Executive Committee, an elected group in the New Jersey Geospatial Forum. Woodmansee has been nominated for the Private Sector seat.
