GeoDecisions Performs Data Conversion Services for Publishing Company
October 14, 2005/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions, a leader in the information technology industry, has been contracted by Farm & Home Publishers (FHP) to provide data conversion services for its leading publication.
Based in Belmond, Iowa, FHP’s primary publication is the “Farm & Home County Plat & Directory.” FHP offers a customized version of this book in more than 500 counties in 11 Midwestern states.
Most editions display both plat maps (landowners) and directory maps (location of rural residents) of each township within a single county. GeoDecisions is helping FHP to expand its coverage area by converting the source data of additional countries into a format suitable for the publication.
“Technology can certainly enhance the publishing industry,” stated Stephen Ellis, director of commercial solutions at GeoDecisions. “We are excited to partner with FHP to create state-of-the-art maps that cover more areas and increase readership.”
FHP was one of the first in the industry to publish both landowner and rural resident township maps side by side in the same book. For more information on FHP, visit www.farmandhomepublishers.com.
