Marsters Named Director of Homeland Security
March 15, 2005/Harrisburg, Pa.: Robert R. Marsters was recently named director of homeland security at GeoDecisions, a leader in the information technology industry that specializes in geospatial solutions. In the newly created position, Marsters coordinates the firm’s efforts to bring geographic information systems (GIS) applications for homeland security to the government, military, and transportation sectors.
“As homeland security director, Robert will leverage all of the firm’s resources and capabilities to provide the best GIS applications for homeland security,” stated Jonathan Pollack, vice president of GeoDecisions. “I am confident that he will ensure a well-coordinated approach to this very important work.”
Marsters, who is based in the firm’s corporate office in Harrisburg, Pa., will also continue to serve GeoDecisions as a senior project manager in the military group. In this capacity, he is responsible for project strategic planning, management, and administration.
Marsters has more than 14 years of experience in GIS. He holds a bachelor of arts in government from St. Lawrence University and a master of arts in geography with a concentration in GIS from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
