GeoDecisions Awarded MDOT GIS/RDC Contract
July 5, 2005/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions, a leader in the information technology industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, has been contracted by the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) to create a geographic information systems (GIS) and roadway data collection (RDC) implementation plan.
For this project, GeoDecisions will evaluate the current and future business requirements, resource requirements, and organizational strategies necessary to efficiently and effectively administer GIS and RDC activities. Following this evaluation, GeoDecisions will prepare a comprehensive implementation plan that fulfills the mission, vision, and goals of the MDOT GIS/RDC activities.
The plan will also recommend specific activities that a GIS/RDC unit should perform, as well as the hardware, software, resources, and technical support that are necessary to facilitate GIS/RDC activities.
