GeoDecisions Provides On-Site Support at Florida’s St. Johns River Water Management District
Dec. 20, 2005/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology industry, has contracted with the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD), based in Palatka, Fla., to provide on-site geographic information systems (GIS) support.
As part of the project, GeoDecisions will offer technical support for environmental monitoring, restoration, and management. Responsibilities include GIS data maintenance and mapping, geospatial and geostatistical analysis, GIS programming, and GIS/Global Positioning System (GPS) training.
SJRWMD is one of five regional districts responsible for the protection and management of Florida's water resources, specializing in water quality, water supply, flood protection, and ecosystem management. SJRWMD is a regulatory agency that manages ground and surface water supplies in all or part of 18 counties in northeast and east-central Florida.
