GeoDecisions Celebrates 20th Anniversary
(April 28, 2006/Austin, Texas) GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology (IT) industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, is pleased to announce the firm’s 20th anniversary. GeoDecisions offers a broad array of geographic information system (GIS) services and solutions for the government, homeland security, military, transportation, and commercial markets.
The Austin office of GeoDecisions specializes in preparing strategic plans and planning, designing, and implementing GIS/IT transportation solutions. These custom solutions include Web-enabled information portals, straight-line diagramming (SLD) applications, safety analysis systems, and Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) consoles.
GeoDecisions’ Austin staff is currently implementing applications for the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Department of Transportation (DOT), Oklahoma DOT, Iowa DOT, Nevada DOT, Mississippi DOT, Kansas DOT, and the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans).
GeoDecisions was formed in 1986 by faculty members at The Pennsylvania State University. In January of 1992, GeoDecisions became a subsidiary of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm with more than 1,900 employees.
