GeoDecisions Celebrates 20th Anniversary
(May 23, 2006/Columbus, Ohio) GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology (IT) industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, is pleased to announce the firm’s 20th anniversary. GeoDecisions offers a broad array of geographic information system (GIS) services and solutions for the government, homeland security, military, transportation, and commercial markets.
The Columbus office of GeoDecisions specializes in transportation, commercial, and government solutions. It provides database design and implementation services for public and private clients.
GeoDecisions’ Columbus staff is supporting the development of the Mississippi Department of Transportation’s (MDOT’s) Safety Analysis Management System (SAMS). SAMS is an authoritative, accurate, and reliable source of safety information for MDOT users. The application integrates several commercial software packages to provide Web-based query, map display, spatial analysis, statistical analysis, collision diagramming, and reporting capabilities.
When completed in 2007, the SAMS application will provide powerful and flexible crash analysis tools to support the identification and elimination of hazardous locations and conditions throughout Mississippi’s transportation networks.
