GeoDecisions Celebrates 20th Anniversary
(April 25, 2006/Pittsburgh, Pa.) GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology (IT) industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, is pleased to announce the firm’s 20th anniversary. GeoDecisions offers a broad array of geographic information system (GIS) services and solutions for the government, homeland security, military, transportation, and commercial markets.
The Pittsburgh office of GeoDecisions specializes in GIS data creation and manipulation, GIS map creation, global positioning system (GPS) technologies, municipal management software, and information technology (IT) services. The staff provides expert GIS services to more than 40 clients throughout the region, including sanitary sewer capacity analysis studies, parcel mapping creation and updating, software development and deployment, and computer network installations and maintenance.
GeoDecisions’ Pittsburgh office recently partnered with the borough of Green Tree, Pa., to maintain its existing municipal management software. In addition, GeoDecisions is responsible for creating the borough’s maps and serves as its lead IT consultant.
GeoDecisions was formed in 1986 by faculty members at The Pennsylvania State University. In January of 1992, GeoDecisions became a subsidiary of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm with more than 1,900 employees.
