GeoDecisions Celebrates 20th Anniversary
(June 9, 2006/Tampa, Fla.) GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology (IT) industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, is pleased to announce the firm’s 20th anniversary. GeoDecisions offers a broad array of geographic information system (GIS) services and solutions for the government, homeland security, military, transportation, and commercial markets.
The Tampa office of GeoDecisions specializes in transportation-based GIS solutions. It provides custom application development, database design, transportation modeling, and focused training.
GeoDecisions’ Tampa staff recently partnered with the Florida Department of Transportation Public Transit Office, and both the Department of Civil Engineering and Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida, to develop the Transit Boardings Estimation and Simulation Tool (T-BEST). T-BEST can be utilized by transit agencies across the state to support the development of transit development plans.
GeoDecisions was formed in 1986 by faculty members at The Pennsylvania State University. In January of 1992, GeoDecisions became a subsidiary of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm with more than 1,900 employees.
