GeoDecisions Celebrates 20th Anniversary
(July 5, 2006/Arlington, Va.) GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology (IT) industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, is pleased to announce the firm’s 20th anniversary. GeoDecisions offers a broad array of geographic information system (GIS) services and solutions for the government, homeland security, military, transportation, and commercial markets.
The Washington, D.C., office of GeoDecisions specializes in transportation, emergency management, and government services for the greater metropolitan region. In addition, the office provides services and expertise in system architecture design, data modeling, application development and database management.
GeoDecisions’ Washington, D.C., staff has previously partnered with the D.C. Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO); District Department of Transportation (DDOT); Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT); and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
GeoDecisions was formed in 1986 by faculty members at The Pennsylvania State University. In January of 1992, GeoDecisions became a subsidiary of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm with more than 1,900 employees. GeoDecisions relies on the expertise of more than 150 IT and GIS professionals in 19 offices nationwide.
