GeoDecisions Named 2006 Technology Company of the Year
March 29, 2006/Harrisburg, Pa.: GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology industry specializing in geographic information systems (GIS), was honored as the 2006 Technology Company of the Year at the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s 14th Annual Awards Gala.
The awards program, held March 16, 2006, recognized great technologies, companies, and leaders that are helping Pennsylvania excel in technology and innovation.
The prestigious Technology Company of the Year award is presented to a leading company in Central Pennsylvania that demonstrates excellence in making technology work for the betterment of the company and industry and is a leading example of the technology industry.

GeoDecisions was also recognized in the Best Application of Technology awards category, which honors an organization that has creatively applied existing technology. In collaboration with CIBER Inc. and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), GeoDecisions received the Best Application of Technology award for the Crash Data Analysis and Retrieval Tool (CDART).
The United States Attorney’s Office was a finalist in this category for the Project Safe Neighborhoods Mapping and Analysis (PSN MAP) application, a regional crime analysis and mapping system developed in partnership with GeoDecisions.
