Stephenson Joins GeoDecisions
April 5, 2006/Madison, Wis.: Aaron J. Stephenson recently joined GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology industry specializing in geographic information systems (GIS). Based in the firm’s Madison, Wis., office, Stephenson serves as a GIS analyst.
In this position, Stephenson assists in the development of GIS applications for government and private sector clients. His geospatial expertise includes spatial analysis and cartography for water systems, transportation systems, land use, critical habitats, and various environmental projects. Stephenson is also experienced in remote sensing digital image processing and land use change.
Prior to joining GeoDecisions, Stephenson was responsible for designing and administering a statewide spatial database of geodetic control points. He also wrote extensive documentation of geodetic control data migration and authored articles for the “Wisconsin Mapping Bulletin” online edition.
With more than three years of GIS experience, Stephenson holds a bachelor of science in cartography, GIS, and people-environment interaction geography, as well as a master of science in environmental monitoring, remote sensing, and spatial information management from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Geospatial Information & Technology Association, the Wisconsin Land Information Association, and the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
