GeoDecisions' St. Louis Office Wins New Contracts
Sept. 29, 2006/St. Louis, Mo.: The St. Louis, Mo., office of GeoDecisions has won several new contracts with public transportation and commercial clients. GeoDecisions is an award-winning leader in the information technology industry specializing in geographic information systems (GIS).
Madison County Transit (MCT), a member of the St. Louis Regional Bikeway Commission, selected GeoDecisions to help develop a Web-based GIS that will map the bicycle transportation network throughout Madison County. At the completion of the project, the public will be able to plan bike trips online, from viewing available bike paths, determining where to park in relation to the paths, and measuring the distance of proposed rides. In 2004, GeoDecisions was selected through a request for proposal (RFP) process to develop the Regional Bikeways of St. Louis Web site for MCT.
GeoDecisions is also installing and configuring an ESRI® ArcIMS® and ArcSDE® infrastructure for Metro, a public transportation agency in the St. Louis metropolitan region that operates both light rail transit and bus systems. At the completion of the project, the public will be able to create online origin-destination itinerary maps of multi-modal transit routes directly from its Web site.
GeoDecisions recently developed a customized ArcIMS application for Arch Coal, the second largest coal producing company in the United States. As a result of the project, Arch Coal users will be able to utilize a new PDF/Print Tool with greater flexibility to create complex, custom maps and legends.
