GeoDecisions and SANZ Unveil Partnership Agreement to Provide On-Demand Geospatial Imagery via a Common Operating Picture
IRRIS® and EarthWhere™ Product Collaboration Provides for Improved Analysis and Decision Support
(April 30, 2007/Chicago, IL) — SANZ Inc., a leader in geospatial data management software, and GeoDecisions, an information technology company specializing in geospatial solutions, today announced a partnership agreement to integrate EarthWhere, SANZ’ innovative software with IRRIS, GeoDecision’s world-class geospatial Web portal for transportation security and logistics. The two companies unveiled the alliance at the 2007 DoDIIS Worldwide Conference in Chicago, Ill.
EarthWhere automates the management of geospatial data — elevation models, scanned maps, satellite imagery and aerial photography — allowing companies and government agencies to quickly ingest, catalog, explore and provision raster data.
IRRIS integrates and displays critical information about transportation infrastructure and near-real-time weather, traffic, and vehicle locations. IRRIS was originally created to support the U.S. Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency (SDDCTEA) in managing the movement of cargo and equipment on a global basis. Since then, many state and federal agencies have used the IRRIS framework for crisis management, logistics, transportation, and homeland security.
Together, EarthWhere and IRRIS provide users with on-demand custom imagery of a specific geographic location or terrain through a common operating picture (COP). The enhanced visualization of both classified and unclassified data offers state and federal government agencies real-world and ground-level intelligence for improved analysis and decision-making capabilities.
