Schiemer Named Vice President
(April 19, 2010/Harrisburg, Pa.) Matthew J. Schiemer, P.E., was named a vice president of GeoDecisions, an information technology (IT) company specializing in geospatial solutions. Schiemer is based in the Mexico City, Mexico, office.
Schiemer is responsible for the planning, design, and construction management of intelligent transportation system (ITS) and transportation system operations projects. He leads the firm's ITS business activities, including business development, project direction and oversight, budget and schedule preparation and adherence, staffing, and quality assurance.
Schiemer has been instrumental in the growth of GeoDecisions’ ITS operations, having managed projects in ITS planning, ITS engineering, traffic engineering, ITS construction management, and ITS software. He has extensive experience in roadway-based field device deployments, as well as public transportation applications and software development, deployment, and hosting. Schiemer’s success is demonstrated by the firm’s client list, including the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Vermont Agency of Transportation, Massachusetts Department of Transportation, and New Mexico Department of Transportation.
A registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Schiemer holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Clarkson University and a master of business administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
