2010 Awards
  • Accepting the award at the TechQuest PA's 18th Annual Technology Awards GalaFeb. 12, 2010: The Rapid Response System, maintained by GeoDecisions, was named best Public Service Innovation at TECHQuest Pennsylvania's 18th Annual Technology Awards Gala. The award recognizes government programs, leadership activities, and processes that promote and utilize technology and innovation for the public good.
  • American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania 2010 Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence ProgramFeb. 4, 2010: GeoDecisions and the Pennsylvania Office of Administration received an Honor Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania 2010 Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence Program for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) project. Through an enhancement to the Web-based Geospatial Analysis of Threats and Incident Reports (GATIR) application, Pennsylvania AVL enables state agencies and operation centers to fully utilize the Commonwealth’s 800 MHz radio system to monitor the location and progress of response vehicles in near-real-time, share incident information with commanders and field units, and maintain situational awareness of response teams.
2009 Awards
  • December 2009: The U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) received a 2009 Defense Logistics Award for its implementation of satellite technology to track unit move cargo using GeoDecisions' patented IRRIS technology. The Web-based application enables USTRANSCOM to improve Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) total asset visibility for shipments in the Pakistan Ground Lines of Communication (PAKGLOC) and the OCONUS transport of Arms, Ammunitions, and Explosives (AA&E). The Strategy, Policy, Programs, and Logistics Directorate, Asset Visibility Division of USTRANSCOM accepted the award in the Technology Implementation of the Year category.
  • June 1, 2009: The Criminal & Highway Analysis Mapping for Public Safety (CHAMPS) application was named a finalist in the 2009 Intergovernmental Solutions Awards at the Management of Change conference in Norfolk, Va. The awards were presented by the American Council for Technology and the Industry Advisory Council. The awards program honors projects that demonstrate impact and results, technology leadership, intergovernmental collaboration, the ability to transform business operations, and the ability to be easily replicated by other agencies.   • March 27, 2009: New York City's Rat Information Portal was named a top five finalist out of 32 nominations in the Best Application of Technology category at TECHQuest Pennsylvania's 17th Annual Technology Awards Gala. The portal, developed by GeoDecisions, uses map-based tools to help residents and city managers know where rats have been found and includes supporting documentation on understanding how to manage the presence of rats in the city.
  • GeoDecisions accepting the ESRI 2009 Partner of the Year awardMarch 22, 2009: GeoDecisions was named an ESRI 2009 Partner of the Year for the Philadelphia, Pa., region. The award recognizes GeoDecisions for successfully implementing ESRI GIS software in applications for many public and private sector clients.

2008 Awards
  • June 2008: The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission (NCPRPDC) received a National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) 2008 Excellence in Regional Transportation Award for its Regional Transportation Planning Web Portal. GeoDecisions developed the ESRI ArcGIS Server-based Web mapping portal to intuitively display data for NCPRPDC's six county region.

  • 2008 Geospatial Leadership AwardJune 3, 2008: The U.S. Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency (SDDCTEA) received a 2008 Geospatial Leadership Award for its use of GeoDecisions' patented IRRIS technology. The Web-based application enables SDDCTEA to manage, document, and synchronize the movement of surface cargo transported throughout the world. Sponsored by GeoWorld magazine, the Geospatial Leadership Awards program was created to identify and recognize individuals and organizations for both vision and achievement in the geospatial industry. SDDCTEA accepted the award in the Public Enterprise Award category.

  • Receiving the ESRI 2008 Foundation Partner of the Year AwardMarch 16, 2008: GeoDecisions was named an ESRI 2008 Foundation Partner of the Year for the Philadelphia, Pa., region. The award recognizes GeoDecisions for diligently building and maintaining a strong and dependable relationship with ESRI.

 

  • Receiving the Diamond Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania 2008 Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence Program for the creation and development of the Road Condition Reporting System (RCRS)February 7, 2008: GeoDecisions and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation received a Diamond Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania 2008 Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence Program for the creation and development of the Road Condition Reporting System (RCRS). A Web-based system, RCRS ensures consistency and accuracy when reporting road closure and road condition information on state roadways. RCRS allows department engineering districts, coordinating agencies, and the public to access closure and condition information on higher traffic volume roads, reducing costly adjustments and lost time for travelers.

2007 Awards
  • 2007 Center for Digital Government Achievement AwardSeptember 2007: The Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) won the 2007 Center for Digital Government Achievement Award in the Best of the Web’s Government-to-Government category. The Best of the Web program honors outstanding government portals and Web sites based on their innovations, functionality, and efficiencies. GeoDecisions teamed with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to develop and implement the LTAP Web site. It was designed to help the Commonwealth’s municipalities efficiently access tools for training, personalized assistance, events, and conferences.

  • Receiving the 2007 Intergovernmental Solutions AwardJune 4, 2007: IRRIS received a 2007 Intergovernmental Solutions Award at the Management of Change conference in Richmond, Va. The awards were presented by the American Council for Technology and the Industry Advisory Council. The awards program honors projects that demonstrate impact and results, technology leadership, intergovernmental collaboration, the ability to transform business operations, and the ability to be easily replicated by other agencies. IRRIS was one of eight projects to receive the award selected from 25 finalists and more than 100 entrants.

  • March 2007: Pennsylvania’s Geospatial Analysis of Threats and Incident Reports (GATIR) application, developed by GeoDecisions, was named a finalist in the Best Application of Technology category at the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s (TCCP’s) 15th Annual Awards Gala.

  • February 2, 2007: The Multimodal Project Management System (MPMS) Maps won an Honor Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania’s (ACEC/PA’s) 2007 Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence competition. It received the highest honor in the Surveying and Mapping Technology category. GeoDecisions partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Bureau of Planning and Research and the Center for Program Development and Management to design and implement the application.

  • January 2007: GeoDecisions was named one of the Top 100 Businesses by Pennsylvania Business Central.

  • IRRIS recognized at the 2007 Excellence.Gov awards competitionJanuary 2007: IRRIS was named as one of the Top 20 finalists in the 2007 Excellence.Gov awards competition. A panel of 23 government and industry leaders selected the finalists for demonstrating excellence in leveraging technology to enhance collaboration. IRRIS competed among 115 entries.

2006 Awards
  • IRRIS is recognized at the 12th Annual Innovator Awards competitionMay 2006: Application Development Trends magazine recognized GeoDecisions and the U.S. Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency (SDDCTEA) for the development of IRRIS in its 12th Annual Innovator Awards competition. The awards program honors the work of information technology (IT) teams that develop and deploy unique applications to solve business problems. The team took top honors in the Middleware/Application Integration category. The judges applauded IRRIS’ innovative approach to integrating different technologies to provide visual information on assets and routes and track vehicles in real time: “The new IRRIS has demonstrated its wide range of use, adaptability, and ease of integration with new sources of static and real-time data.”

  • April 20, 2006: GeoDecisions’ 20th anniversary logo won an Award of Distinction in the Communicator Awards 2006 Print Competition. The award recognizes projects that exceed industry standards in design or communication skills.

  • Technology Company of the Year awardMarch 16, 2006: GeoDecisions was named Technology Company of the Year at the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s (TCCP’s) 14th Annual Awards Gala. The awards program recognizes great technologies, companies, and leaders that are helping Pennsylvania excel in technology and innovation. The honor is presented to a leading company that demonstrates excellence in making technology work for the betterment of the company and industry and is a leading example of the technology industry in Central Pennsylvania. GeoDecisions also swept the Best Application of Technology awards category, which recognizes an organization that has creatively applied existing technology. In collaboration with Ciber Inc. and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, GeoDecisions accepted the Best Application of Technology award for the Crash Data Analysis and Retrieval Tool (CDART). The United States Attorney’s Office was a finalist in this category for GeoDecisions’ Project Safe Neighborhoods Mapping and Analysis (PSN MAP) application.

  • February 2, 2006: The Crash Data Analysis and Retrieval Tool (CDART) won an Honor Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania’s (ACEC/PA’s) 2006 Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence competition. It received the highest honor in the Surveying and Mapping Technology category. GeoDecisions partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Bureau of Highway Safety and Traffic Engineering and the Bureau of Planning and Research to design and implement the project.

2005 Awards
  • November 2, 2005: GeoDecisions received two 2005 MarCom Creative Awards. "Crime Stoppers: Web-Based Mapping Makes Safer Neighborhoods" received a Gold Award in the writing/feature article category, and the IRRIS technology marketing campaign received an Honorable Mention. The international awards competition received more than 4,000 entries and recognizes quality, creative, and resourceful marketing/communications projects.

  • October 12, 2005: GeoDecisions’ Project Safe Neighborhoods Mapping and Analysis Program (PSN MAP), designed for the United States Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, was awarded a Digital Government Achievement Award in the Center for Digital Government's Annual Best of the Web Contest.

  • Special Achievement in GIS Award July 2005: GeoDecisions’ Information Network For Online Resource Mapping (INFORM) application, designed for the Delaware Department of Transportation, was awarded a Special Achievement in GIS Award (SAG) at the 2005 ESRI International User Conference in July.

The award recognizes GeoDecisions for successfully implementing ESRI GIS software in applications for many public and private sector clients.

  • February 2005: The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) recognized the Cultural Resources Geographic Information System (CRGIS) with its Diamond Award for Engineering Excellence. The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Bureaus of Environmental Quality and Planning and Research, and  GeoDecisions jointly accepted the honor. CRGIS is a Web-based information and reporting application that greatly improved the efficiency of storing and sharing information on an estimated 20,000 archaeological sites and more than 100,000 historic properties in Pennsylvania.

2004 Awards
  • November 23, 2004: GeoDecisions received three 2004 MarCom Creative Awards. The GeoDecisions Emergency Response Kit which contains information on IRRIS technology and solutions for enhanced decision-making received a Platinum Award in the marketing/promotions/materials category, the GeoDecisions logo received a Gold Award in the creativity/design/logo category, and the GeoDecisions Homeland Security Banner received a Gold Award in the marketing/ads/banners/signs category.

  • 2004 Diamond Honor Award for Engineering ExcellenceFebruary 6, 2004: The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) recently presented GeoDecisions, a recognized leader in geospatial solutions, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) with a 2004 Diamond Honor Award for Engineering Excellence. GeoDecisions and PENNDOT received this award for the development of PENNDOT's geographic information system (GIS) portal.

  • October 2003: Urban and Regional Systems Association (URISA) Exemplary Systems in Government Award - Honorable Mention, presented by URISA to GeoDecisions and MTMCTEA for the Intelligent Road/Rail Information Server (IRRIS™) project during URISA's 2003 Annual Conference.
