GIS Strategic Plan

Client: Artesian Water Company

GeoDecisions developed a GIS Strategic Plan to guide Artesian Water Company (Artesian) GIS efforts for the next several years. The plan process included a review of relevant Artesian computer systems, identification of user needs, and preparation of the GIS Strategic Plan. Identification of user needs began with a GIS Visionary Workshop to determine the GIS vision and strategic goals. On-site interviews with Artesian staff helped to determine the needs for GIS, identify possible priority applications, and yield key observations that relate to making GIS successful. The GIS Strategic Plan presented recommended modular priority applications and actions, estimates of developmental and maintenance cost and effort, schedules, and organizational issues and solutions.
