GeoDecisions and its parent company, Gannett Fleming, developed an interactive multimedia training and reference CD-ROM, called Better Military Traffic Engineering (BMTE), for the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency (SDDCTEA). SDDCTEA uses this computer-based reference guide CD-ROM to instruct their employees about the proper installation and use of traffic control and safety devices on military bases. After Sept. 11, 2002, updates to the CD-ROM were requested to address security issues as well as changes and updates to the main reference manual on which the CD-ROM is based, the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
