Philadelphia Demolition Project Management

Client: City of Philadelphia

The City of Philadelphia turned to GeoDecisions and its knowledge of geospatial technologies to assist its five-year Neighborhood Transformation Initiative Project, which involved scheduling approximately 14,000 demolitions of the city’s buildings.

Using ESRI ArcObjects technology, a decision support model was employed to assist the delineation of demolition bid package zones that have a high priority for demolition and redevelopment opportunities. Also, GeoDecisions built a customized ArcIMS application allowing key decision makers to have a wealth of information at their fingertips for the duration of the project.
