GeoDecisions developed a customized application for CCI, a fire protection engineering and life safety consulting firm.
GeoDecisions’ technology automates the mapping, reporting, and communication processes related to fire-code violations within buildings. The custom software incorporates digital floor plans of client facilities and digital images including photographs, tabular reporting, and analysis tools.
With this technology, CCI could map the interior and exterior of client facilities and then provide the client with a spatially accurate depiction of all fire-code violations .The technology also offered an intelligent database with reporting and follow-up functions that supported CCI’s efforts to identify and track fire codes.
Using GeoDecisions’ GIS application, CCI was able to replace its traditional manual procedures and hardcopy drawings with digital floor plans and an underlying intelligent database to identify and track fire-code violations. This effort helped to increase efficiency in communicating problems and resolutions to its customers.
