The WebEMS Manager is a customized application that allows users to better manage data, documentation, audits, and corrective actions, in addition to assigning and tracking compliance tasks. Implemented as a desktop application, the WebEMS Manager directs users to EMS requirements to ensure consistent environmental compliance. The WebEMS Manager also features a user-specific dashboard with key information that can be tailored to maintain requirements for the user's individual operations.

    EcoMarket Solutions Web Application
FORECON EcoMarket Solutions Web SiteGeoDecisions developed a Web-based application for FORECON EcoMarket Solutions, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of FORECON, Inc. The Web site provides a range of carbon, water and conservation-related asset management services and market-based approaches for addressing climate change and accessing financial ecosystem service markets. The Web site specializes in Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) forestry offset project consulting and aggregation services both domestically and internationally for private forest landowners, integrated forest products companies, industrial and non-industrial forest management organizations, tribal timberlands, institutional investors including Timber Investment Management Organizations, and governmental and non-governmental organizations.
    Global Environment Management Initiative (GEMI)
    Web-Based Interactive Water Sustainability Planner
GEMIGeoDecisions and its parent company, Gannett Fleming, teamed with GEMI to develop a Web-based interactive water sustainability tool – Collecting the Drops: A Water Sustainability Planner. The planner was developed to guide facility users in assessing water use and impacts from operations, performing water balance assessments, and evaluating potential risks and opportunities. The interactive water sustainability planner, located at www.gemi.org/waterplanner, provides users with a list of recommendations to assess specific water uses and needs, impacts on the existing available resources, and the resulting opportunities and risks.

GeoDecisions’ Sustainability Initiatives

As part of our corporate commitment to be a sustainable firm, GeoDecisions has several initiatives in place. A committee of GeoDecisions team members, as well as individuals from its parent company Gannett Fleming, meet regularly to discuss the progress of current campaign initiatives and to develop plans to implement new ideas.

Some of the current initiatives include:

White and Mixed Paper Recycling - Each employee is equipped with receptacles to collect white office paper and mixed paper. Additional receptacles are placed in all common areas. The receptacles are kept separate from waste receptacles and are emptied regularly.

Recycling recepticalAluminum, Glass, and Plastic Container Recycling - Recycling receptacles for aluminum, as well as plastic and glass, have been provided for employees in all common areas.

Magazine Recycling - Magazines are recycled with the mixed paper, cutting down on the amount of waste created.

Corrugated Cardboard Recycling - Corrugated cardboard contains waffled layers and is quite simply one of the easiest and best ways to recycle. Common collection areas have been set up for employees to drop off their corrugated cardboard for collection daily.

Binder Re-Use Program - A program to recycle and re-use 3-ring binders has been implemented to cut down on waste. Recycled 3-ring binders are stored on company premises and redistributed through office supply requests.

Technotrash Recycling - Technotrash refers to small computer-related and electronic items that are no longer needed. Receptacles are placed in common areas to discard of such items that can be recycled or refurbished.

Flex Time Hours - Flex time hours have been implemented companywide for employees to commute to work during times of the day with less traffic volume.
