GeoDecisions Wins Esri Quick to Market Award

GeoDecisions®, Gannett Fleming’s geospatial technology division, won the Esri Quick to Market Award during the 2018 Esri Partner Conference on March 4.

The GeoDecisions team, which has successfully worked with the Esri application suite for more than 25 years, earned the award for configuring the ArcGIS platform to quickly develop and deliver innovative solutions to market.

“We recognized that clients wanted business-focused solutions built on top of the Esri platform,” said Brian Smith, GeoDecisions commercial solutions vice president and Delaware office manager. “We enhanced the capabilities of ArcGIS to solve common business challenges faster and provided clients with the streamlined workflows needed to assist with time savings.”

For instance, GeoDecisions leveraged the ArcGIS platform to create Notify, a notification system that can reach all or targeted customers instantly with updates or advisories through voice, text, and email. Local and state agencies might use Notify to reach residents, while a school might use Notify to update parents, or a corporation might use Notify to reach employees. Processes that used to take hours now take minutes.

ArcGIS is a scalable mapping tool using multiple data sources to see the world in an innovative way. Overall, the easy-to-use system provides the deeper knowledge clients need to make up-to-date and enhanced business choices.
